We woke up as early as we could and started on what would be our largest walking day of the trip. I guess we had been working up to this a little bit. Our first destination was the old part of town. Looks a lot like South France but with more intricate detail. It was sunny and warm, saw lots of little alley ways and shops everywhere. Had pizza at the counter of a little and then we found the most amazing shoe shop- hundreds and hundreds of flats in all colors to choose from but all in the same style. I chose a snakeskin pair with navy patent cap toes. I love them. Thomas found a cool messenger bag as his souvenir. Barcelona is so colorful and vibrant! It has such a different feel than anywhere else we have visited.

I bought a painting by this gentleman and although they don't look it they were very friendly |

The detail on every inch of the buildings here really set them apart from the other countries we visited |
Sagrada Familia
Walked to Sagrada Familia which was so cool! More modern looking than the old cathedrals but still has that ancient feel. On the way there we ducked into a shop and got milkshakes because it started to rain. In the afternoon we went to Park Guell, looked like a Dr. Seuss book. Amazing views of the city and a beautiful sunset. Spanish veal steak for dinner and the most amazing goat cheese salad. We ended up walking over 15 miles today!
Barcelona has some amazing architecture, it's much more modern and adventurous than other cities we visited.
